The Scan pipeline page gives you one place to see everything happening to a brand profile's scans: what is running now, what is waiting on funds, and what is coming up. You reach it from the left nav item "Scan pipeline" in the Overview area, at /app/pipeline.
The three groups
The page sorts a brand profile's scans into three groups so you always know the state of the queue at a glance.
- Running now lists the scans that are queued or actively working right now.
- Held lists scans that are waiting because the brand profile is short on credits. Each held scan shows the credits it needs to run.
- Scheduled lists the upcoming auto-scans, each with its next run time, so you can see what is coming and when.
Held and resume
Held-and-resume is the behaviour that makes auto-scans safe to leave running. When an auto-scan falls due but the brand profile cannot cover it, the scan does not silently fail and it does not spam you with repeated emails. Instead it parks in a visible Held state on this page.
You are emailed once, at the moment a scan first becomes held, with the shortfall and a one-click path to add funds. You will not get the same notice again and again while it waits.
A held scan resumes on its own the moment the profile has enough credits again. The next scheduling sweep picks it up and runs it. You do not have to restart it by hand, and you do not have to remember which scans were waiting.
To make funding easy, the page shows the total credits needed to clear everything currently held, so you know exactly how much to move into the profile to release all of them.
Cancel and skip
You can act on the queue from this page with two controls.
- Cancel applies to a scan that has not started yet, one that is still queued. Cancelling it refunds its held credits in full. A scan that has already started running cannot be stopped mid-flight: only a not-yet-started scan can be cancelled.
- Skip applies to a held scan. Skipping clears the held state for the current due occurrence and lets that scan run at its next scheduled time instead. This is useful when you would rather not run this particular occurrence: funding the profile later will not immediately fire the one you skipped, because it has been moved to its next slot.
Who can act
Only an owner or admin can cancel or skip a scan. Strategists and viewers can watch the pipeline and see exactly what is running, held, and scheduled, but they cannot cancel or skip.
Questions
What does Held mean?
A held scan is an auto-scan that came due while the brand profile was short on credits. Rather than failing, it parks in a visible Held state and resumes automatically once the profile is funded.
Do I get emailed every time a scan is held?
No. You are emailed once, when a scan first becomes held, with the shortfall and a link to add funds. You will not be emailed repeatedly while it waits.
How do I make a held scan run?
Add enough credits to the brand profile. The page shows the total credits needed to clear everything held. Once the profile has the funds, the next scheduling sweep runs the held scan on its own.
Can I stop a scan that is already running?
No. A running scan cannot be stopped mid-flight. You can only cancel a scan that has not started yet, while it is still queued, and cancelling refunds its held credits in full.
What is the difference between cancel and skip?
Cancel applies to a not-yet-started scan and refunds its hold. Skip applies to a held scan: it clears the current due occurrence and lets that scan run at its next scheduled time instead, so funding the profile later will not immediately fire the one you skipped.
